Ashley has enjoyed exploring different types of movement throughout her life, from dance and gymnastics in her youth, to nearly two decades of practicing yoga, and then to finally becoming introduced to Pilates through a friend. This mode of exercise instantly appealed to her because of its emphasis not only on strength, but mobility, balance, breath, and flexibility as well. Her primary goal in teaching is to help people improve these qualities through their own Pilates practice, and to live well in their bodies. Ashley teaches various levels and styles of classes at the Waterside and West 7th Club Pilates studios in Fort Worth, and also enjoys attending classes herself whenever possible.
