Hi! My name is Cheryl. I have been a pilates instructor for about 2 years now. I have always been active as an adult. I used to stick to running, biking and swimming. Then I had kids and had little time to myself, so I was only running most of the time and eventually my knee started bothering me and I did not want knee problems. So I immediately tried pilates - I happen to have some free passes as well! I was sold right away, I love the balance it brings to doing so much cardio. It stretches and strengthens and helps me find a balance. I immediately lost the knee pain I was having and started to see and feel the difference. I had lost some height during my 2 pregnancies and I have gained that length back. It is also one if the few things I like doing inside, I am not a gym person and avoid it at all costs, but look forward to doing pilates anytime I can! I also teach elementary school part time as well, I used to be full time, but not since having my own children. Pilates definitely helps my focus and stay strong though! After going to pilates for one year I decided to join the instructor training and have been teaching since finishing that. It is a job I truly love to do!
