Juliana Hurdle is a native Memphian and graduate of St. Mary's Episcopal School and the University of Memphis B.A, M.A. She began her Pilates training in Sept. 2003 and completed an 800 hour Pilates Certification from the Ellie Herman Institute in March 2005. This 800 hour certification included rigorous in depth study of anatomy and kinesiology, Mat Pilates, and apparatus including Barrel, Cadillac, Foam Roller, Reformer, Springboard, Tower, and Wunda Chair. She has completed TRX and Barre Above certifications. She is well known for her evolved creative teaching style, her keen eye for alignment and technique, as well as an ability to tailor each class to the client's needs and goals. Juliana believes that Pilates provides the perfect foundation for any health and wellness or fitness regimen. From dancing, soccer, basketball, and track as a child, to all forms of exercise as an adult, movement has been a constant throughout her life. Diagnosed with scoliosis during a twin pregnancy in 2005/2006, Juliana is able to manage this with the Pilates Method. Pilates rehabilitated her post twin pregnancy body and aided in a healthy subsequent pregnancy in 2009/2010. When not in the studio, you can find Juliana running the trails, exploring clean eating recipes and remedies, at Memphis Tigers and Memphis Grizzles games, and chasing her three little boys in the great outdoors. Juliana is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance and regularly attends workshops, conferences, and a variety of fitness classes to continue her education.
