Poppy first discovered Pilates in the early 1990s while attending Brigham Young University. As a member of BYU’s Dance Company, she was introduced to Pilates through the program’s rehabilitation studio, where dancers used it for injury prevention and recovery. She quickly fell in love with its principles and recognized its value not only for dancers, but for athletes of all kinds. Although Poppy had spent the last 15 years teaching group fitness, she did not reconnect with Pilates until 2024. Since then, her passion for the practice has only grown. She appreciates Pilates for its ability to build strength, improve mobility, and support long-term health in a sustainable way—all while fostering meaningful friendships and community. Poppy is from Tennessee and is a wife and mother of four who is passionate about helping others achieve their health and fitness goals. She loves sharing the benefits of movement and wellness with everyone she meets.
