Rosari Sarasvaty holds an MA in Teaching Dance in the Professions with a focus on ABT® Pedagogy from NYU Steinhardt, where she received the 2022 Outstanding Service in Dance Education Award. She is an ABT® Certified Teacher, a graduate of the Mark Morris Teacher Training Program, a certified Pilates instructor, and a trained lawyer with an LL.M. degree from the University of Georgia. For the past three years, Rosari has taught, choreographed, and helped shape curriculum at Northern Plains Dance. Her research on interdisciplinary creative movement pedagogy was presented at the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) Conference and the Dance Barn Festival. Before relocating to North Dakota, Rosari danced full-time in New York City, performing with the Martha Graham School, Dancers Unlimited, and BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance, among others. Her choreography and teaching have been featured in schools, venues, and festivals across New York City, North Dakota, and Jakarta, Indonesia. In 2024–25, Rosari was named a Midwestern National Leaders of Color Fellow by Arts Midwest, where she works alongside cultural leaders to advocate for the arts nationwide. She also serves on the boards of the North Dakota Asian-American Arts and Cultural Initiative (NDAAACI) and the Dakota West Arts Council (DWAC), supporting arts access and community engagement across the region.
