Amy “retired” from practicing law when she and her family moved to New Jersey from the south in 2011. She had been predominantly focusing on cardio exercise but wanted something else in her workout routine. A dear friend and Club Pilates instructor encouraged her to try pilates. She fell in love immediately. Further, she was amazed by how quickly the back pain and weakness she suffered from her scoliosis disappeared. Several years later, she was ready for a new career path and the passion she felt for how pilates changed her life was something she wanted to share with others, so she became an instructor. Amy was selected as one of Club Pilates Success Stories of 2019 so go check her out in their marketing campaign. Her southern accent is still strong but don’t let that charm fool you, she will make you burn!

Health and fitness have always been a passion for Joanne. Active in gymnastics, dance and cheerleading at a very young age, she has always continued to search for new and fun ways to exercise. After years of cross training, TRX, barre, boxing and spin classes, injuries took their toll and sidelined her for almost a year. Determined to find something that was gentle on the joints but still challenging, Joanne joined a newly opened Club Pilates studio in Madison and was immediately hooked! She soon became committed to learning more about the science and art behind this amazing form of exercise. Upon completing her CP Teacher Training, Joanne became deeply dedicated to sharing this impactful and motivating workout with others. She strives to bring fun together with fitness and looks forward to guiding her clients to new limits and supporting them in achieving their goals.

Melissa Madden came to Pilates after a lifetime of trying many different forms of exercise. Over time – and a lot of walking in high heels – she felt a nagging lower back/glute pain that even lower impact exercise could not address. She turned to Club Pilates after hearing of its benefits from a friend/CP instructor. Within a few months, she began to feel results. Not only did her lower back finally feel “free” (Melissa credits bridging), she saw other immediate benefits: tighter abs/core, stronger & more defined arms, and overall confidence in her body as she neared the big 5-0! As a Club Pilates instructor - and now a General Manager - Melissa enjoys paying her friend’s guidance forward to members daily. Her goal is to make Pilates fun, relatable, and accessible with appropriate challenges to members of all ages and abilities. When not teaching Pilates, Melissa enjoys skiing, playing paddle, learning how to play golf, and walking her family’s two dogs.
