Kuaihelani Burgess, who goes by Kuai for short, was born in Maunalua, O‘ahu, raised in Kunia, O‘ahu, and currently resides in Mililani, O‘ahu.
Growing up, Kuai played volleyball and ran long distance in cross country and track. She first became interested in Pilates after college while working remotely and looking for ways to keep her body healthy without the structure of organized sports. She began with at-home Pilates workouts on YouTube before exploring different studios and styles of Pilates, while also getting into strength training.
Kuai later entered the Club Pilates Teacher Training program which allowed her to become fully immersed in Pilates. Outside of Pilates, she also works full-time in the energy efficiency field. She continues to strength train, dives often for shells, line dances every weekend, surfs occasionally, and sings karaoke anytime she can convince people to listen.

Sanoe Burgess was born in Hilo, Hawai‘i, and raised in Maunalua, O‘ahu. Growing up, she spent much of her time climbing trees at Koko Head Baseball Park, surfing and throwing net at Sandy’s, and riding bike through Kamiloiki Valley.
Sanoe continued her active lifestyle throughout childhood, participating in basketball, track, water polo, and swimming. As an adult, she has added jiu jitsu, weight lifting, and now Pilates to her movement practice.
After injuring her knee while playing basketball in 2020, Sanoe’s physical therapist, Miwa, taught her the importance of the mind-body connection. Her recovery challenged everything she thought she knew about fitness and her own body. For Sanoe, Pilates is a fun way to reinforce those same principles while helping her stay healthy for jiu jitsu and surfing, and continue getting stronger in weight lifting.
Outside of Pilates, Sanoe is currently a PhD student, dog mom, and self-proclaimed super-cool aunty.

Holly Gilbert began her Pilates, Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® training in 2000 following back surgery. Still experiencing pain after surgery, she searched for an alternative path that would help her live a pain-free life.
After two years as a student, Holly felt that teacher training was the next step. She began Gyrotonic® training in 2002 and completed her Pilates mat and reformer certification in 2003. In 2005, she completed her Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® teacher training.
Having personally used Pilates and the Gyrotonic® Method for rehabilitation, Holly has focused her training on the rehabilitative aspects of both practices. She loves helping others move out of pain and live life to the fullest. She has also worked extensively with pre- and postnatal protocols and put that knowledge to use after having her own children.
Holly is a military spouse, and O‘ahu is her family’s tenth location since 2009. Her family loves the outdoors and enjoys traveling. Holly also enjoys a variety of physical activities, including running, lifting, and hiking. She is excited to be part of the Club Pilates family.

Min was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. She began studying the violin at the age of seven and pursued music as her major for many years, also developing strong piano performance skills. During her university years, a serious car accident left her with injuries to her left shoulder, arm, and hand, forcing her to step away from her dream of becoming a professional musician. Determined to begin a new chapter, she later immigrated to the United States with her family.
Min is bilingual in Korean and English and enjoys connecting with a diverse community of clients. Outside the studio, she loves listening to music and attending Broadway musicals and opera performances.
She completed the Comprehensive 500-hour Pilates Teacher Training program at Club Pilates and
she has continued to deepen her Pilates knowledge through many additional hours of advanced training .
Min’s connection to Pilates is deeply personal. About ten years ago, complications from back surgery left her relying on a wheelchair. After being introduced to Pilates, she gradually rebuilt her strength, mobility, and confidence through consistent practice. Experiencing the transformative power of Pilates inspired her to dedicate herself to the method and to helping others experience the same benefits.
Because of her own journey with injury, surgeries, and rehabilitation, Min brings deep empathy and understanding to her teaching. She is especially passionate about helping clients manage pain, improve posture, and develop healthier movement patterns through Pilates. She also has a special passion for working with older adults, helping them regain strength, stability, and confidence through safe and mindful Pilates practice.
For Min, Pilates is more than exercise—it is a powerful practice that supports both physical and mental well-being while improving overall quality of life. She is passionate about sharing the life-changing benefits of Pilates and helping her clients move better, feel stronger, and live healthier, more vibrant lives.
