"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear." – Nelson Mandela Jessica is an Army veteran with 10 years of service, getting out with the rank of Sergeant. Discipline is a key element to her success in training others in fitness and in her every day life, no matter her pursuits. Creativity is also paramount to who she is, in and out of the Pilates studio. Her workouts are challenging while keeping the room light but still energetic. She grew to love guiding others in fitness while being a certified Pole Fitness instructor, which she still actively teaches. “Watching people get stronger, witnessing the transformation in their confidence and self acceptance, overcoming the fear of trying new things or of even the limitations of who they thought they were the day before – THAT’S why I’m a fitness instructor. It’s an honor to be a part of people’s fitness journey.” Jessica completed 500 training hours for her Pilates certification. Outside of Pilates and Pole fitness she is also an active musician. Her original band, Honey Spot Blvd, has been together for since 2003. She’s a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and lyricist in the band. You can expect encouragement and challenge, discipline and light heartedness and an overall good workout whenever you come to any of her classes.

Mark began his Pilates journey in 2017 to help with a back injury that kept him from doing many of the things he loved, often having to use a cane or other means of support for basic movement. Through his Pilates practice, Mark has been able to increase his mobility, flexibility, strength, endurance, and overall well-being. Mark says that Pilates allows him to do everything else he wants to do in life. Mark began Pilates teacher training to increase his personal knowledge and to grow his own practice but found a love for teaching others and helping them along with their own journey. Mark follows a more classical Pilates approach, focusing on form and technique to create challenge and improvement in our bodies form and function.

Alexis began practicing Pilates in 2007 after spending her life as a competitive gymnast. She suffered a severe hip injury after running a half marathon, and was only able to rehab completely by doing Pilates. After understanding and appreciating how it changed her health, she became a regular student with a passion to understand every aspect of it. Alexis relocated to Dallas from California with her husband and since has had two children. She practiced Pilates during both pregnancies and was able to bounce right back because of it. After realizing how it had changed her life, she decided to go from student to teacher...and is now a comprehensively certified STOTT Pilates instructor.

Ashley has been in the fitness industry for six years. After a decade in the medical field, Pilates has become her way of life. She graduated from Saint Joseph's University in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. She then worked as a medical technologist in Blood Banking at both the American Red Cross and for the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Then she decided to help prevent disease and injuries instead of merely treating them. In 2013, Ashley completed her first Personal Training Certification. In 2014, Ashley received her Associate in Exercise Science, as well as several more Personal Training Certifications. During her early years as a personal trainer, Ashley was intrigued by the power Pilates has on the Spinal Column. After giving birth to her son in 2010, she had experienced more issues with her own scoliosis. Her height went from 5'2 and 1/2 to 5'1 and 3/4. With years of personal practice, Pilates brought back the missing 3/4 of an inch! She has also seen great decreases in her chronic asthma attacks. Pilates has helped Ashley's clients and students work through sports injuries and arthritis. New mothers have enjoyed watching their abs get back to normal. Ashley has now been teaching Pilates and Group Exercise for several years. She completed the Peak Pilates Comprehensive program to get a Classical understanding of Pilates. Ashley's classes combine her contemporary background as a personal trainer and her Classical training through Peak Pilates. She loves teaching basic Mat and Reformer movements with the contemporary addition of the Bosu and TRX apparatus. Ashley is so thankful to help members and clients grow taller, breathe easier and live better every day.

Kelsey McCahill first learned Pilates as a dance major at the Lehigh Valley High School for the Arts. She continued her personal practice after moving to New York City in 2009. Kelsey was certified in Mat and Reformer Pilates through Balanced Body in 2012. She taught at Pilates Reforming NY and in a physical therapy office, Restore 33. After moving abroad with her husband in 2014, Kelsey taught at and finished her comprehensive certification in the classical Pilates style at the (now called) True Pilates China in Guangzhou, PRC. Kelsey passed the Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher exam in 2016. She is so excited to be teaching at Club Pilates Doylestown with an amazing group of teachers. When she’s not working, Kelsey enjoys traveling with her family and vacuuming up after them.
